This issue of the journal contains the first part of the thorough work of the well-known
Russian law historian and lawyer, Honored Ordinary Professor, Doctor of Civil Law
Nikolai Lvovich Dyuvernua (1836–1906), dedicated to correal obligations. The
scientist analyzes all the basic theories about the division of obligations into correal
and solidary and subject them to convincing criticism based on the provisions of the
Roman sources.
