This overview is one of the first attempts in the Russian legal literature of critical analysis
with regard to the findings, proposed for defense during 2016–2018 in the theses on
the issues of private international law, international commercial arbitration, investment
arbitration, ADR. Author considers in the critical manner exclusively these findings per
se, not the theses, which contain them, in the whole. The author makes the conclusion
that in general these findings under consideration do not comply with the academic
standards. The analysis of the specific findings in the theses is preceded by the general
explanations on the methodical approaches used by the author.
